Adam Hall
Adam Hall was the pen name of Elleston Trevor, who created Quiller, one of the most idiosyncratic and compelling protagonists in spy fiction. Quiller was an amoral, hyper-competent loner operating for a deniable British intelligence agency, and the series was notable for its claustrophobic tension and precise rendering of mental states under pressure.
