Al-Ghazali Abu Hamid
Persian philosopher and theologian whose The Incoherence of the Philosophers attacked the Greek-influenced philosophers and whose Revival of the Religious Sciences is the most important work of Islamic ethical and spiritual literature. He combined rigorous intellectual skepticism with a deep personal commitment to mystical experience.
