Anthony Ryan is a British fantasy author who self-published Blood Song before it became a bestseller and was picked up by a major publisher. The Raven's Shadow series is noted for its unreliable narrator and well-constructed military fantasy. His Draconis Memoria series about dragonblood hunters is also highly regarded.
