Arnaldur Indriðason
Arnaldur Indriðason is the most internationally successful Icelandic crime writer, whose Inspector Erlendur series brought Nordic noir to Iceland with bleak, atmospheric procedurals rooted in Icelandic history and landscape. His novels are saturated with the specific melancholy of Icelandic culture. He has won the Crime Writers' Association Gold Dagger twice.
