Arthur Machen
Arthur Machen was a Welsh author who created some of the most important works of supernatural horror fiction in English, influencing H.P. Lovecraft and the entire tradition of cosmic horror. The Great God Pan is one of the most disturbing and sensually terrifying horror stories in the language. He saw the supernatural as a manifestation of hidden spiritual realities.
