Benedict Anderson
Irish-British political scientist whose Imagined Communities proposed that nations are imagined communities—not natural facts but cultural artifacts created through print capitalism and shared narratives. The book transformed the study of nationalism. He was also a major scholar of Southeast Asian politics.
