Benjamin Black
Benjamin Black was the pen name of Irish Booker Prize-winning novelist John Banville, who used it to write his Quirke pathologist crime series set in 1950s Dublin. His novels brought his literary novelist's precision and atmospheric sensibility to genre fiction. Christine Falls is widely considered one of the finest Irish crime novels.
