Carl Sagan
American astronomer and science communicator whose Cosmos television series and book brought the scale and wonder of the universe to a mass audience. Pale Blue Dot made the case for cosmic perspective as a moral argument. He was an eloquent advocate for the scientific method and skeptical thinking.
