Confucius Kong Qiu
The most influential philosopher in East Asian history, Confucius's teachings on personal morality, social relationships, and good government are preserved in the Analects recorded by his disciples. His concept of ren (benevolence) and his emphasis on ritual, family, and education shaped Chinese civilization for 2,500 years.
