Cornel West
American philosopher, public intellectual, and Baptist preacher whose Race Matters is the most important essay collection on Black American life since Baldwin. He has taught at Harvard, Princeton, and Yale, and is known as much for his prophetic preaching style as for his philosophical rigor.
