Dan Simmons
Dan Simmons is an American author whose Hyperion Cantos is widely considered one of the greatest achievements in science fiction, blending far-future hard SF with literary allusions to Keats and Canterbury Tales. The Fall of Hyperion won the Hugo Award for Best Novel. He also writes horror and historical fiction of equal ambition.
