Dennis Wheatley was one of the most popular British thriller and adventure writers of the 20th century, known for his occult thrillers featuring the Duke de Richleau and his adventure novels. The Devil Rides Out is his finest work, a gripping occult thriller that drew on his extensive research into Satanism. He was one of the most widely read British authors of the 1930s-1960s.
