Galactic Patrol

E.E. Doc Smith was an American food engineer and science fiction author who wrote the Lensman and Skylark series, foundational works of space opera. His Lensman series depicts an epic conflict between good and evil across the galaxy on a scale that influenced Star Wars and many other space operas. He is widely considered the grandfather of the space opera subgenre.
