Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick
American literary critic and queer theorist whose Between Men and Epistemology of the Closet are foundational texts of queer theory. She analyzed the structures of homosociality and homosexuality in 19th-century literature. Her work, with Butler's, defined queer theory as a discipline.
