Martinican-Algerian psychiatrist and revolutionary theorist whose The Wretched of the Earth is the foundational text of postcolonial theory. Black Skin, White Masks analyzed the psychological effects of colonialism on the colonized. He died of leukemia at 36, the year Algeria won independence.
