Gérard de Villiers was a French journalist and spy fiction novelist best known for his long-running SAS series featuring the Austrian-American CIA operative Malko Linge. He wrote over 200 SAS novels and was known for the geopolitical accuracy of his plots, which were said to draw on real intelligence sources.
