Hao Jingfang is a Chinese science fiction author whose novella Folding Beijing won the Hugo Award for Best Novelette. The story depicts a future Beijing divided into three shifting physical layers based on economic class. She is a major figure in the new wave of Chinese science fiction alongside Liu Cixin.
