Helen MacInnes
Helen MacInnes was a Scottish-American novelist who wrote highly popular espionage thrillers from the 1940s through the 1980s, combining romantic adventure with Cold War intrigue. Above Suspicion and Assignment in Brittany were major bestsellers. She was called the Queen of Spy Writers and her novels were consistent bestsellers on both sides of the Atlantic.
