Night of Knives

Ian C. Esslemont is a Canadian author who co-created the Malazan Empire world with Steven Erikson and has written his own series of novels set in the same world. His Night of Knives and Return of the Crimson Guard fill in important corners of the Malazan world. He and Erikson are close friends who developed the world together across decades.
