Jackie Sibblies Drury
American playwright whose Fairview won the Pulitzer Prize in 2019. The play begins as a conventional Black family sitcom and then, in its final act, asks the white audience members to directly examine their own spectatorship and racial assumptions. Her work is among the most formally daring in contemporary American theater.
