James Blaylock is an American fantasy author and close friend of Tim Powers who helped pioneer steampunk alongside K.W. Jeter. His Homunculus is set in a wonderfully realized Victorian London with airships and resurrected corpses. His Elf Owen trilogy is a warm, whimsical literary fantasy.
