Jessamyn West
Jessamyn West was a Quaker California novelist whose The Friendly Persuasion lovingly depicted nineteenth-century Indiana Quaker life. Her memoir The Woman Said Yes confronted her own cancer and her sister's euthanasia with characteristic honesty.
