Jessie Redmon Fauset
Jessie Redmon Fauset was literary editor of The Crisis and a prolific novelist who depicted the aspirations and social constraints of the Black middle class with realism and feminist insight. W.E.B. Du Bois called her one of the most important figures of the Harlem Renaissance.
