John Fante
John Fante was an Italian American novelist from Colorado whose autobiographical fiction of his alter ego Arturo Bandini—Ask the Dust is the best known—depicted the Los Angeles literary bohemia of the 1930s with operatic passion. Charles Bukowski championed his work.
