Jonathan Stroud is a British fantasy author best known for the Bartimaeus Trilogy, in which a young magician summons a sarcastic djinn to help him navigate a magical alternate London. The Lockwood and Co. series follows teenage ghost hunters with equal wit and invention. His work combines genuine tension with comic brilliance.
