Josephine Tey

Josephine Tey was a Scottish playwright and novelist whose detective fiction was among the most individual and literary in the Golden Age tradition. The Daughter of Time, in which her detective Alan Grant investigates the historical crimes of Richard III from his hospital bed, is frequently voted the greatest mystery novel ever written. Brat Farrar and Miss Pym Disposes are also highly regarded.
