Josh Malerman is an American horror writer whose debut Bird Box created a unique and terrifying premise — creatures so horrible that merely seeing them drives the viewer insane — and executed it with great skill. The subsequent Netflix adaptation was one of the most-watched films of 2018. His subsequent novels have confirmed him as a leading voice in contemporary horror.
