Karl Jaspers
German-Swiss philosopher and psychiatrist who was one of the founders of modern existentialism. General Psychopathology is a foundational text of psychiatry; Philosophy is his major philosophical work exploring existenz, transcendence, and the boundary situations of life. He was suspended from his professorship by the Nazis.
