Kiran Nagarkar
Indian novelist who wrote in both Marathi and English and was known for the audacious historical novel Cuckold and the Bombay noir Ravan and Eddie. His work is formally inventive and politically engaged. He was one of the most important bilingual voices in Indian literature.
