Laird Barron is an American horror writer whose short fiction is considered the finest work in the Lovecraftian cosmic horror tradition since Ligotti. His work, set in Alaska and drawing on Western and crime fiction traditions, creates a uniquely American version of cosmic horror. He has won multiple Shirley Jackson and Bram Stoker Awards.
