Larry Heinemann

Larry Heinemann was a Vietnam veteran whose Paco's Story won the National Book Award for its harrowing fictional account of a traumatized survivor's attempt to reenter civilian life. His fiction brought the Vietnam experience into the tradition of American war literature.
