Lev Grossman is an American author whose The Magicians is an adult fantasy that deconstructs the Narnia and Harry Potter traditions by placing a group of privileged young magicians in genuinely dangerous and morally murky situations. The trilogy was adapted into a Syfy television series. He was also the book critic for Time magazine for many years.
