Lula Vollmer Vollmer

Lula Vollmer was a North Carolina playwright and fiction writer who documented Appalachian mountain life with authentic sympathy. Her drama Sun-Up was the most celebrated theatrical rendering of Appalachian character in the early twentieth century.
