Nizami Ganjavi
Persian romantic epic poet whose Khamsa (Quintet) of five long poems, including Layla and Majnun and Khusraw and Shirin, established the template for Persian romantic poetry. He transformed the Persian qasida into a vehicle for narrative richness.
