Orson Scott Card is an American science fiction and fantasy author best known for Ender's Game, which won both the Hugo and Nebula Awards and is considered one of the great military science fiction novels. Its sequel Speaker for the Dead also won both awards, making Card the only author to win both in consecutive years. His work explores ethics, empathy, and the nature of intelligence.
