Ray Bradbury was an American author whose lyrical, humanist science fiction explored the dangers of censorship, technology, and the loss of imagination. Fahrenheit 451 became one of the most taught novels in American schools. He also wrote the celebrated Martian Chronicles, a series of linked stories about humanity's colonization of Mars.
