René Pollesch

German theater director and playwright who creates text-performances in which actors deliver densely theoretical, self-referential texts at high speed. His work, associated with the Volksbühne Berlin, blurs the line between theater and cultural theory. He is one of the most influential figures in contemporary German-language theater.
