Richard Paul Russo is an American science fiction author whose Carlucci trilogy of neo-noir science fiction is set in a near-future San Francisco of extreme inequality. Ship of Fools won the Philip K. Dick Award and is a deeply unsettling generation ship story. His work is somber and morally serious.
