Rick Riordan is an American author whose Percy Jackson and the Olympians series introduced Greek mythology to millions of young readers through the story of a boy who discovers he is the son of Poseidon. The series has sold over eighty million copies and inspired films and a Disney+ series. He has expanded to Egyptian, Norse, and Roman mythology in subsequent series.
