Robert Bloch was an American author best known for Psycho, which Alfred Hitchcock adapted into one of the most influential films ever made. He was a protege of H.P. Lovecraft and wrote extensively in horror and science fiction throughout his career. He won the Hugo Award for his short story That Hell-Bound Train.
