Ross PerotH. Ross Perot founded Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in 1962 with $1,000, built it into a billion-dollar company, sold it to General Motors, and then founded Perot Systems. He ran for U.S. president twice as an independent candidate and was known for his folksy, direct communication style.
