Russell Simmons

Russell Simmons co-founded Def Jam Recordings in 1984 and built Rush Communications into a diversified entertainment and fashion empire that helped create the hip-hop industry as a commercial force. He later founded the Rush Card prepaid debit card to serve unbanked communities and wrote about entrepreneurship and spirituality.
