S.A. Chakraborty is an American author of fantasy drawing on Islamic history and djinn mythology. The City of Brass, the first volume of the Daevabad Trilogy, is set in a magical eighteenth-century Cairo and draws on the author's self-education in Islamic history. The trilogy won multiple Locus Awards.
