Saladin Ahmed is an American fantasy author whose Throne of the Crescent Moon is the first fantasy novel drawing primarily on Arabic and Islamic culture to be nominated for the Hugo and Nebula Awards. The novel features an aging monster hunter in a city inspired by the medieval Islamic world. He has also written the Miles Morales Spider-Man comics.
