Salman Rushdie
Salman Rushdie is a British-Indian author whose Midnight's Children won the Booker Prize and the Booker of Bookers. His work draws on magical realism and South Asian myth in ways that have influenced the fantasy and science fiction genres. The Satanic Verses caused a fatwa to be issued against him. His novel Grimus is a work of science fantasy.
