Slavoj Žižek
Slovenian philosopher and cultural critic whose dizzying range and rhetorical energy have made him the most visible and controversial philosopher of his generation. The Sublime Object of Ideology fused Lacan and Marx to analyze ideology; his film commentary and political interventions made him a global celebrity. He is loved and reviled in equal measure.
