Edith Somerville and Martin Ross (Violet Martin) were an Anglo-Irish writing partnership whose The Real Charlotte is one of the great Anglo-Irish novels of the Victorian era. Their Some Experiences of an Irish R.M. is a classic of Irish comic fiction.
