Stanislaw Lem
Stanislaw Lem was a Polish author who wrote some of the most philosophically sophisticated science fiction of the twentieth century. Solaris, his most famous novel, examines the limits of human cognition when confronted with truly alien intelligence. His work ranged from satirical robot fables to dense philosophical meditations on consciousness and technology.
