Susanna Gregory is the pen name of Elizabeth Cruwys, a British author whose Matthew Bartholomew series is set in 14th-century Cambridge and features a physician-detective at the medieval university. Her novels combine genuine medieval medical history with crime fiction in a distinctively academic setting. She has published over 20 novels in the series.
