Theodor W. Adorno
German philosopher and critical theorist who, with Horkheimer, founded the Frankfurt School's critique of mass culture, Enlightenment reason, and fascism. Dialectic of Enlightenment argues that the Enlightenment contained the seeds of its own destruction. Negative Dialectics is his major philosophical work.
